A select round-up of the latest news relating to Leeds United…

Leeds United take on Championship leaders Middlesbrough in today’s lunch-time kick-off.

Neil Redfearn’s side have won four of their last five matches and they will go into this encounter quietly confident of extending that run.

In early team news, the BBC reports that Liam Cooper will have to make do with a place on the bench despite returning from injury.

Giuseppe Bellusci and Sol Bamba are tipped to continue their partnership in the heart of Leeds’ defence.

Tommaso Bianchi remains on the side-lines while Granddi Ngoyi is said to be no closer to making his first appearance for his loan club.

In other news, Leeds United youngster Robbie McDaid has been nominated for the Ulster Herald’s Sports Personality of the Year award.

The 18-year-old striker arrived at Elland Road from Glenavon last year after scoring twice in a trial for Leeds under-17s.

He signed a two-year deal at the Yorkshire side and his progress has now been recognised by the newspaper.
