Leeds United defeated Middlesbrough 1-0 at the Riverside Stadium on Saturday.
Leeds United made it five wins from their last six matches when they defeated Championship leaders Middlesbrough in their own backyard on Saturday.
Alex Mowatt was yet again the goal-scoring hero, the midfielder netting with just three minutes on the clock, and despite coming under intense pressure in the second half, Leeds held firm.
Mowatt's goal came after great work from Lewis Cook, who seized in a loose ball, ran forward and set up his teammate to finish.
At that stage it looked like there were a few more goals in this encounter, but it was not to be, despite Middlesbrough ultimately having 27 efforts, 10 of which were on target.
Leeds goalkeeper Marco Silvestri will deservedly take the plaudits after a brilliant display, but it was recent loan signing Sol Bamba who proved just how vital he is to Neil Redfearn's back-line.
The Ivorian was sensational and the difference between Boro scoring and being left to rue their missed opportunities.
