Confirmed: Swansea v Man Utd lineups

Swansea Liberty Stadium

Here is how Swansea City and Manchester United will line up for this afternoon’s match:

Swansea City welcome Manchester United to the Liberty Stadium with Garry Monk’s side more than capable of denting the visitors’ hopes of securing a top-four finish.

United are currently third in the table, and they will know a victory this afternoon will cut the gap on second-placed Manchester City to just two points, but Louis van Gaal’s side will have to be at their best to defeat an impressive Swansea outfit.

The Swans are currently ninth in the table and would move just a single point behind eighth-placed West Ham United with a victory of their own.

With the impressive and always dangerous Gylfi Sigurdsson returning for the hosts, United’s defence could be in for a tough afternoon, but expect an entertaining match that really could go either way.

Swansea will be looking for back-to-back victories against United having defeated them on the opening day of the campaign, but van Gaal is likely to want revenge after his first competitive match at Old Trafford did not go according to plan.
