Everton produced a superb performance in Switzerland on Thursday night, thrashing Young Boys 4-1 in their Europa League knockout clash.
The Toffees fell behind to an early Guillaume Hoarau goal, but hit back with a goal from Seamus Coleman and a hat-trick from striker Romelu Lukaku.
The Belgian, 21, hasn't hit the heights of last season when he was on loan at Goodison Park, but proved his worth to the Toffees with a stunning display against Young Boys.
His hat-trick was a perfect one too; a header, a goal with his right foot and a goal with his left foot - prompting manager Roberto Martinez to praise his star striker.
Lukaku has recently been linked with a move to Tottenham by the Daily Mail having said he can see himself joining a bigger club than Everton in the future, but Martinez told Sky Sports that Lukaku proved how much he loves Everton with his hat-trick.
"It's never an issue. Rom was delighted to commit himself to Everton," said Martinez. "He loves playing for Everton, and I think he showed that today.”
"A footballer needs to be measured by the way he talks on the pitch. Sometimes a microphone can be put in front of you and people then dissect everything you say and highlight a word or line which is not appropriate," he added on Lukaku's recent comments.
Everton will need Lukaku to produce more displays like this one over the course of the rest of the season, but also need him to keep quiet in the media - and if he does, any potential move to Tottenham would become even more unlikely.
