One Liverpool player has been praising another following the club's latest victory.
Brendan Rodgers’ side won 1-0 courtesy of a Mario Balotelli penalty; the Italian international netting with just five minutes of normal-time to play. And summer signing Moreno hailed teammate Simon Mignolet for a fine save and Jordon Ibe for winning the crucial penalty.
“He is very fast, physically strong and he was one of the best players in the game, and thanks to him we got the penalty and the victory.”
Ibe was brought down in the area by Besiktas’s Ramon Motta and the 19-year-old’s all-round performance was another example of just how talented he is and how vital he could ultimately become at Anfield.
The Liverpool winger is now getting regular 90-minute run-outs under his belt for Rodgers’ side and he is becoming every bit as important as the likes of Raheem Sterling and Philippe Coutinho in adding a creative spark to the side.
