Guidett's equaliser means Celtic's tie with Inter Milan in the Europa League is very much alive.
It may not be the victory that Celtic fans were looking for but their side gave them plenty of reasons to smile at Parkhead last night as they twice came behind to hold the Italian giants Inter Milan 3-3, to give them an opportunity of causing an upset and reaching the last 16 of the Europa League.
While Craig Gordon may have had a first half to forget he, along with a lot of Celtic fans, will have been relieved by Guidetti's late intervention which sent Celtic Park into raptures.
Steve Armstrong impressed and managed to get on the scoresheet himself as the Scottish champions created several chances, which will please Ronny Deila ahead of the return leg, but Guidetti is the man who will take the headlines.
The forward managed to show good intelligence with his run in behind the Inter back line - managing to stay onside in the process - before showing very capable technique and composure before despatching the ball into the back of the net.
There has been a fair bit of speculation surrounding his future as he is currently on loan from Manchester City. Some are suggesting that Celtic will look to make his stay in Glasgow a more permanent one and judging by what a few fans had to say on twitter last night, some would welcome that move.
Guidetti keeps the tie alive. Inter defo favourites to go through, at least the thousands don't go over with the game already over. #Celtic— Gary Connolly (@gconnolly87) February 19, 2015
Proud performance from Celtic. No lack of belief or commitment from the players. Unreal composure by Guidetti at the end. HH! #CelticInter— Adrian McEntee (@adrian_mcentee) February 19, 2015
