The Liverpool boss is unsurprisingly delighted with the 19-year-old.
Several games after his breakthrough appearance this campaign, the 19-year-old has continued to mesmerise Liverpool fans and neutrals alike with his energetic displays.
And, without the young starlet, the Reds wouldn't have picked up their 1-0 win over Besiktas, with Ibe winning the penalty that Mario Balotelli ultimately - controversially - tucked home.
It isn't so much Ibe's pace and flair that impresses Rodgers, however. The Liverpool boss is certainly pleased with the young winger on that front - but he is full of praise for the youngster's work-rate most of all.
"You've seen the kid's performances since he's come back from his loan period and he is growing all the time," Rodgers told reporters after Liverpool's Europa League win.
"He's played in big games and is getting good experience at 19. He is a real threat every time he has the ball.
"Not only that but he works very, very hard for the team. He created the opportunity tonight for the penalty and it was an outstanding performance."
Ibe provided the perfect cover for the suspended Lazar Markovic against Besiktas on Thursday night, who was serving a four-match European ban for his sending-off offence against Basel in the Champions League group stages.
Intriguingly, Rodgers has similarly praised Markovic for his work-rate out wide for the Reds and it could be the case that Liverpool had a player of the Serb's level - if not better - all along.
Any side with European aspirations, though, will need strength in depth, which is a purpose both the young stars serve.
