New West Ham signing Nene could go straight into the matchday squad to face Tottenham this weekend.
Hammers co-owner David Gold confirmed the news via his Twitter account on Thursday morning, that the Brazilian has the fitness required to at least make the bench.
Having the former PSG top scorer available to face Spurs would give the side an intriguing option late in the game, especially with his set piece deliveries a strong point of his game.
West Ham beat Spurs three times in all competitions last season, but head into this game looking to avenge the narrow 1-0 defeat at Upton Park on the opening day of 2014/15.
Spurs are two places above West Ham in the Premier League table, with Mauricio Pochettino's side currently in sixth place, with a gap of five points.
Nene signed as free agent this week, as reported by The BBC, after his deal with Qatar based side Al Ghaffara expired.
Tottenham first have Thursday night's Europa League game against Fiorentina to deal with ahead of the London derby against West Ham on Sunday.
