Celtic midfielder Scott Brown has hailed the squad's fitness levels.
Celtic midfielder Scott Brown has told the club's official site that the squad's fitness levels are the best they have ever been under Ronny Deila.
Brown has been with the Bhoys since 2007 and he says that he has never seen a team in better shape than their current squad.
It is a strong backing for Deila's leadership of the club, with the Norwegian seemingly starting to settle at Celtic Park after a slow start.
“We’ve just been trying to get set into formation, the way the gaffer wants us to play," Brown said. "Now we’ve got that, everyone has bought into it and we’re pressing high up the park and we’re as fit as we’ve ever been.
“We’re comfortable scoring goals, we’re creating chances from midfield and going forward so it’s been really good how we’ve improved over the last six to eight weeks.”
Deila has been famed for his fastidious approach to management and it seems that his tactics are having the desired impact on the squad.
Celtic have improved considerably since the start of the season and they are competing for honours in four competitions.
While Deila has repeatedly stated to sources such as the Daily Record that the domestic treble is his main priority this season, they also have progressed well in the Europa League and face Inter Milan later tonight in the competition.
It is a huge game for the Scottish champions and it is one which they will be looking to use to show just how far they have progressed under Deila's leadership.
