Celtic media round-up: Mancini predicts Parkhead atmosphere could backfire

We bring you the latest news from across the web about Celtic.

Mancini on Celtic atmosphere

Inter Milan manager Roberto Mancini predicts that the atmosphere inside Celtic Park could backfire on them tonight.

A raucous crowd is expected for tonight's game, but Mancini believes it could inspire his own team to victory.

"It will be a great atmosphere and Celtic are quite right to use that to their advantage," Mancini told BBC Sport.

"It will help our players. It will be a good experience for them. It is 11 versus 11 and it could be something that could work to Inter's advantage."

Deila wants fast start

Celtic manager Ronny Deila wants his side to ensure that they win tonight's match against Inter Milan so they have a lead to protect in the second leg.

Deila realises how hard getting a result in the San Siro will be, so he wants to ramp up the pressure on Inter before it even gets to that stage.

"We have everything to win," he told the Glasgow Evening Telegraph. "We go in with lots of confidence.

"If we get a good result, we'll put a lot of pressure for them when we play them away from home."

Mackay-Steven excited

New Celtic addition Gary Mackay-Steven says that it will be 'special' to represent the Bhoys on a European night later this evening.

Mackay-Steven is likely to start in the fixture against Inter Milan and he is looking forward to having the opportunity of making his Europa League debut for the club.

“To run out wearing the green and white and have the backing of the incredible supporters of Celtic Football Club on a European night will be special," he said to the Daily Record.
