Tottenham Hotspur legend Mike England has told the club’s website he feels there’s a touch of class about current first team star Ben Davies.
Davies has been in and out of Mauricio Pochettino’s team since he joined the club from Swansea last summer, but England feels Tottenham have watched him slowly maturing at White Hart Lane.
“He looks very composed when he’s playing and it adds a touch of class when a player looks comfortable on the ball,” said England.
“You can see that with the way he moves, his style of play is very smooth and I believe he’s got a very, very good future ahead of him.”
Davies has made appearances across all competitions for the club this season, as he’s looked to challenge Danny Rose for the left-back role.

His challenge over the rest of the campaign is to play to a very high standard when he’s given a chance, because of the importance for the club of securing Champions League football for next season.
At some point, he will come back into the side and could well feature in the Europa League game against Fiorentina tomorrow night.
When he gets that chance, he needs to grasp it with both hands and place pressure on his manager to keep him in the team.
He’s perhaps been a little unlucky not to have got more chances in the current Tottenham side because of the form Rose showed over the first half of the season.
However, he’s a tidy, compact and sensible player who England clearly feels has a lot to offer the club.
He now has to show it.
