Manchester United media round-up: Hamann urges van Gaal to go after Bayern Munich star

A round up of news stories this morning related to Manchester United.

Manchester United have been encouraged to make a move for Robert Lewandowski by Dietmar Hamann in the Daily Mail.

The former Liverpool midfielder feels the Bayern Munich man is perfect for the Premier League’s style of play.

However, he also suggests that Arsenal and Liverpool could also be interested.

“If you look at Manchester United, I think they could do with a Lewandowski,” said the German.

Louis Saha has been quoted by the Daily Mail suggesting it could take a year for Radamel Falcao to find his best form at the club.

Falcao moved to United on loan from Monaco on the final day of last summer’s transfer window.

He’s scored just four goals at the club so far this season.

“When you are in a different formation or different management then you have to adapt. It could take three months, six months or maybe a year before you understand it,” said Saha.

The Metro has reported that Manchester United are ready to make a move for PSG forward Edinson Cavani.

According to their report, United will pay the Uruguayan around £220,000 per week in order to make the move.

However, Arsenal are also mentioned as a reportedly interested party in terms of bringing him into English football.
