The Liverpool vice-captain has joined Twitter today.
In today's world of social media footballers are just a couple of clicks away from getting in touch with their fans. They can use Twitter, Instagram or Facebook to interact and every now and again someone new joins that flock.
Today, it was Liverpool vice-captain Jordan Henderson.
He announced he was now on Twitter earlier today by sending out this Tweet to his would-be followers.
Finally on twitter.... Better late than never!— Jordan Henderson (@JHenderson) February 18, 2015
The Liverpool man, who has been in excellent form recently, was then given a few tips on how to get by on the site by a former team-mate and Liverpool legend.
Jamie Carragher played over 700 games for the club and nowadays he is a TV pundit for Sky Sports. His advice to Henderson for Twitter was pretty basic, but undoubtedly sound.
He replied to his Tweet by saying:
.@JHenderson Welcome Jordan. Don't advertise or misspell anything, give an opinion, swear or take a selfie & you'll be fine.— Jamie Carragher (@Carra23) February 18, 2015
In the past plenty of big footballing names have gotten themselves into trouble by posting the wrong thing on Twitter. including a couple of Liverpool players. But the reality is Carragher was more forewarning him of the keyboard warriors who will no doubt be looking forward to sniping at him given the first opportunity.
Thick skin needed Jordan, welcome to Twitter.
