Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho has declared a vested interest in Celtic's Champions League tie, by claiming he wants to see their opponents Inter Milan go on to win the competition.
Mourinho won the treble of the Serie A title, Italian Cup and Champions League while Inter manager in 2010, and still holds much admiration for the Nerazzuri.
Speaking to Sky Italia and quoted by Tuttomercatoweb after Chelsea's Champions League draw with PSG, the Blues boss said:
"Is Mancini is the right man to revive the Inter team? Coaches and players change. For me it is represented by the Inter fans which occupy an important place in my heart. I hope that the Nerazzurri can get back in the Champions League and win the Europa League."
Celtic are Inter's opponents in the last 32, hosting the Italians at Parkhead this Thursday in the first leg meeting between the two teams.
While Inter may dream of winning the tournament and qualifying as winners for the Champions League, it's a long shot considering their poor Serie A league form. They currently sit 10th, which is 10 points off the qualification spots, but their short 16/1 odds to win the Europa League may be the better bet.
Celtic have odds as long as 80/1 report Oddschecker to win the competition, with only four teams considered less likely to land the trophy.
