Chelsea extend superiority in key attacking area; Eden Hazard sets new season record

Following Chelsea's 1-1 Champions League draw with Paris Saint Germain at Parc des Princes, we bring you all the best Opta Stats.

Paris Saint-Germain came from behind to rescue a 1-1 draw in the first leg of their Champions League last-16 clash with Chelsea at the Parc des Princes on Tuesday evening. 

Branislav Ivanovic gave the visitors the lead 10 minutes before half time, but PSG responded through an Edinson Cavani header to level the scores during the second period.

3 - Chelsea have scored nine goals from set pieces in the Champions League this season; three more than any other side (Real Madrid 6). In addition, no side has scored more headed goals in the the elite European competition this season than Jose Mourinho's side (5).

7 - Branislav Ivanovic has scored seven goals in the Champions League since 2009, more than any other defender. The Serb's goal was Chelsea's first non-blocked shot of the game. He has now directly contributed to six goals in his last nine competitive appearances for the Blues (3 goals and 3 assists).

6 - Paris Saint Germain's Edinson Cavani netted his sixth goal of the season in the Champions League last night. Only Shakhtar Donetsk's Luiz Adriano (9) and Barcelona's Lionel Messi (8) have more. The Uruguayan centre-forward managed three attempts at goal throughout 90 minutes; from which he hit the target on two occasions.
