Enrico Chiesa believes Fiorentina are a technically superior team to Tottenham.
Former Italian international striker Enrico Chiesa has praised the way Tottenham play football, but believes Fiorentina are a more gifted side.
An ex-Fiorentina forward himself, Chiesa is quoted by Tuttomercatoweb hailing Tottenham's stadium, and style.
He said: "White Hart Lane is a beautiful stadium, feel the closeness of the public and makes you want to play. The way they play football is magnificent.
"In the physical aspect Fiorentina can suffer but technically is over Tottenham in all departments."
Fiorentina currently sit fourth in Serie A, but with only three Italian teams qualifying for the Champions League, they are still short of where they aspire to be, four points back from third placed Napoli.
Tottenham sit sixth in the table, completed 82 per cent of their overall passes. This is below Fiorentina's 84 per cent.
While the Italians outperform Spurs narrowly in these areas, Tottenham are regarded as one of the fittest teams in the Premier League, scoring numerous late goals to come out on top.
Technical ability will go out the window if Spurs prove the fitter team, and how the game at White Hart Lane plays out over the final 15 minutes particularly will be a test to see if the Italians have the conditioning to match Mauricio Pochettino's men.
