Inter Milan defender Davide Santon has confirmed he will try and give his team an advantage over Celtic in the Europa League this week.
Inter Milan defender Davide Santon has been quoted by the Daily Express confirming he will talk to Rangers loan star Haris Vuckic ahead of the game against Celtic.
Inter Milan and Celtic meet in the Europa League this week and the Serie A giants seem determined to try and get an edge over the Bhoys ahead of their trip to Scotland.
“I have already spoken to Haris since he moved to Glasgow, but I will give him a call again this week - I will ask him some questions in the next couple of days,” said Santon.
It’s understandable why Inter would try and gain an edge over Celtic because Parkhead is one of the most intimidating places to go to for any team.
Celtic’s home support can create an intimidating atmosphere, which may put one or two Inter stars on edge going into the game.
It’s also understandable for the obvious reason of tactics.
If Inter can get a little bit of insight over the way Celtic normally play and go about their business, it makes sense for them to take advantage of that and use it to their benefit.
However, Celtic’s recent clash against Rangers in the League Cup is completely different to the European challenge of facing Inter Milan in the Europa League.
Ronny Deila is likely to set his side up differently from the game against Rangers and how he would do in any SPL game.
That makes Celtic a little more unpredictable, which is important in the face of feedback and inside information designed to give Inter an advantage.
