Jonas Gutierrez is back training with Newcastle United's first team, and looks to be enjoying spending time with his teammates.
The Chronicle reported this week that the midfielder has returned to the first team set up, and is available for the final 13 games of the season.
The 31-year-old has twice beaten testicular cancer, and The Mail claimed this week that a move to Velez Sarsfield in Argentina had broken down with personal terms unable to be agreed upon.
Gutierrez on Tuesday morning sent out an Instagram photo of himself at training alongside Ayoze Perez and the lesser spotted Facundo Ferreyra.
While Perez has been one of the finds of the season for Newcastle, Ferreyra has yet to play a single Premier League game since arriving on a season long loan from Shakhtar Donetsk.
With Newcastle seemingly meandering towards a mid-table finish, it would be wise to give Ferreyra a first team chance at some stage to get a better understanding of what he is capable of.
One last appearance for Gutierrez before his contract runs down in the summer is surely a must too, even if just as a late final day substitute.
