League of Legends artificial reef to be built off Australia's coast

Players contributed to an event last month in which the top stretch goal was to create an artificial reef.

League of Legends creators, Riot Games, are set to create an artificial reef in the guise of one of the game's champions. The champion in question is Nautlius, who you can see in the image above.

Riot Games gave word of the project during the game's 'Ocean Week' last month, where players would contribute at least 275,000 points during the event in order gain prizes. Players had the choice between Fizz, Nami, and Nautilus to be turned into the artificial reef.

There is no word on when the reef will be created, however Riot is currently in talks with an artificial reef company, along with a marine biologist, to figure out where Nautilus should be place on Australia's east coast.

All players that contributed to the stretch goal will have their name etched onto the reef.
