The coach of the Italian national team, Antonio Conte, has visited Tottenham Hotspur’s training centre and had his say on the facilities.
“It looks like a very good place to work and for Tottenham Hotspur to develop their potential.”
Conte explained that he was visiting England to speak to some of the managers he feels are currently doing well, and to look into the reasons behind their success.
Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino should be proud that he falls into that category, and when you consider the club’s progress this season, Conte’s appraisal is no surprise.
The North London club are currently sixth in the Premier League and head back into Europa League action this month with a tie against Fiorentina.
They also have the final of the Capital One Cup against Chelsea to look forward to, meaning there are plenty of reasons for Pochettino to be praised.
But for now that praise will be put on hold, as the young manager looks to focus his troops for what will be a vital few months, not just in this campaign but potentially in their development as a team.
