The Charlotte Observer reports that in 2014, the company was listed No. 17 out of 50 of the most diverse companies in the U.S. by Diversity Inc. The Human Rights Campaign has given Wells Fargo a perfect score on the Corporate Equality Index for the past 11 years.
Wells Fargo works to put its diversity mission – 'an environment where each person feels valued for their culture, skills and talents' – into action by creating nine team member networks: Latin, Asian, Middle East, Diverse Abilities, Black/African-American, Native, PRIDE, Women and Veterans. These volunteer-based teams are committed to promoting awareness, public education, community service and company recruitment.
