Arsenal media round-up: Palermo official reportedly in London for talks over Dybala

A round up of news stories this morning related to Arsenal.

The Metro claims Palermo’s president is in London for talks over a deal for Argentine striker Paulo Dybala.

Arsenal are mentioned as one of the interested parties with a reported fee expected to be in the region of £29.5 million.

The paper’s report claims the Gunners wants to sort out a deal, which will go through in the summer.

Guillem Balague has confirmed that Atletico Madrid have made a play to sign Santi Cazorla from Arsenal, according to the Daily Star.

The Spaniard has been linked with a return to Spain with Diego Simeone thought to be keen on doing a deal for him.

“Atletico are convinced that they can persuade the player to join them. Then they just have to pay the money,” said Balague.

Cazorla has a year-and-a-half to run on his current deal with the club, with no sign of an imminent extension.

Arsenal have been paired against Manchester United in the draw for the FA Cup quarter-finals.

The teams would have more than likely been looking to avoid each other, but United’s win against Preston last night sets up the clash in the last eight.

Arsenal haven’t beaten United in a cup competition since they won the 2005 FA Cup final, which was Arsene Wenger’s last trophy before the FA Cup success of last season.
