Leeds United manager Neil Redfearn felt his side were nervous at 1-0 against Millwall.

Leeds United manager Neil Redfearn hinted to LUTV after the win against Millwall what he’s still looking to remove from his team’s performances.

Leeds have been on a great run of form with four victories in their last five games, but Redfearn felt his team were a little nervous as they protected a 1-0 lead against the Londoners over the weekend.

“This was always going to be a difficult game for us – It was always going to be a nervy, jittery affair at 1-0,” said the boss.

It was always going to be nervous considering he significance of the three points, which has helped to push Leeds into a mid-table position, further away from danger.

The result showed the battling qualities the side has and that should help ease the nerves in any future performances over the next few weeks.

One of the man ways Redfearn can look at taking the nerves out of Leeds’ key players is stressing the positives of their recent performances.

They have played expansive football, as well as digging in at home and away to rack up crucial wins for the team.

Nerves will also be helped by the slightly more comfortable position the side now enjoys in relation to the table.

There aren’t too many weaknesses in the current Leeds side and it’s encouraging that the positive run of victories should now ease the anxiety heading into more important fixtures.
