Former Argentina international and Inter Milan vice president Javier Zanetti has included Ryan Giggs and Patrick Vieira in his all-time XI.
Zanetti, who was appointed vice-president of Inter Milan after hanging up his boots last summer, was speaking in an interview with Bein Sports, in quotes republished by the website fcinter1908.it, when he was quizzed on the topic of his ultimate team.
The 41-year-old was quick to outline his all-time XI: "[Angelo] Peruzzi, Cafu, [Walter] Samuel, [Roberto] Ayala, [Paolo] Maldini, [Patrick] Vieira, Xavi, [Ryan] Giggs, [Roberto] Baggio, Ronaldo, [Lionel] Messi."
There was no room for Zanetti's former Inter teammate Zlatan Ibrahimovic while Cristiano Ronaldo was left out with namesake and Brazil all-time legend Ronaldo included in his place.
Vieira played alongside Zanetti at Inter Milan following Juventus' demotion to Serie B while Zanetti lined up against Giggs on several occasions in the Champions League.
The most notable of these came in the quarter finals of the competition back in the 1998-99 season when Manchester United dumped the Nerazzurri out at the quarter-final stage en route to lifting the trophy.
Inter were also knocked out of the competition by the Red Devils under Jose Mourinho in the 2008/09 edition of the tournament, with United eventually losing to Barcelona in the final.
