The head coach of Liverpool’s under-21 side, Michael Beale, has been speaking about the impact a former Red has had on some of the club’s bright young talents.
The 18-year-old is a highly-rated centre forward who has been scoring plenty of goals during his time in the Reds’ academy, and it has now been revealed that he and some of his younger teammates have been learning from one of the best forwards ever to call Anfield his home.
“Robbie has been doing some specialist work with our strikers,” Beale said, “in particular Jerome, Samed Yesil, Jack Dunne, Harry Wilson and Sheyi Ojo before he went out on loan.”
“We have been working with the forwards on their movement and scoring percentages from different positions in the box.”
Sinclair has scored six goals in six UEFA Youth League games this season, while he has netted twice in seven games for Liverpool’s under-21s.
It will be a while yet before he is challenging the likes of Daniel Sturridge for a starting berth at Anfield, but as he continues to learn from Fowler, there is no telling how good he could become.
