Over the summer, Philippe Coutinho, Raheem Sterling and Henderson all vowed to score more goals and register more assists for Liverpool this season.

Mario Balotelli

The Liverpool striker's big breakthrough came when he scored the winning goal against Tottenham Hotspur earlier this week. But the Crystal Palace clash was equally - if not more - important for the Italian.

In showing desire and work-rate for a second game in a row, Liverpool fans were shown that Mario Balotelli may just mean business. 'The penny has dropped,' Rodgers said of the forward after the game. Reds fans will certainly hope so.

Simon Mignolet

The Belgian didn't quite manage another clean sheet against Palace but was many supporters' choice for man of the match against Alan Pardew's side.
