The Black Cats were outdone by their old striker on Sunday afternoon, leaving fans rather disappointed to say the least!
By that, what's meant is that the Black Cats lower expectations for their supporters every week with both the results they attain and the displays they produce.
Last time out, Sunderland lost at home to a Queens Park Rangers side that hadn't won away this season. And, now, their FA Cup run is over thanks to League One opposition.
This, though, wasn't really a shock - for either Bradford or Sunderland supporters. Considering the Bantams' historic conquest of Chelsea in the last round, few were surprised by their 2-0 win over the Black Cats.
And, considering Sunderland's run of terrible performances, their fans didn't seem at all shocked that Bradford played them off the park.
Just to make their defeat hurt that little bit more, Jon Stead, formerly of Sunderland, scored against his ex-club to really rub salt in the wounds.
Stead doubled Bradford's lead to send Bantams fans into delirium and book his side's place in the last eight of the FA Cup. Naturally, the away fans weren't too impressed on Twitter after the game - although many at the ground stayed back to give Stead and another ex-Sunderland man in Billy Knott a huge round of applause...

We are Making Stead (a player of Altidore proportions) look like Drogba in his pomp. Utterly embarrasing. #safc— Adam Brown (@Mr_AJBrown) February 15, 2015
