Photos: Arsenal stopper Wojciech Szczesny in training for Middlesbrough start

The Polish stopper has recently played second fiddle to David Ospina.

It has not been an easy 2015 for Arsenal goalkeeper Wojciech Szczesny, but this week has certainly been an up for the Polish stopper.

He was recently voted the goalkeeper of Brentford's decade. He played 28 times for the club as a teenager on loan from The Gunners. With that also comes the likelihood he will start today's FA Cup game against Middlesbrough.

He played in the last round against Brighton and it has always been Arsene Wenger's philosophy to rotate keepers for the cup.

With that in mind, he was all action in training, and was snapped taking part in the session by the club photographer.

Now the stopper has a reputation of being something of a joker, and it appears he is taking his current position at the club in good jest. In this picture, with best friend Jack Wilshere and fellow goalkeepers David Ospina and Emiliano Martinez, he appears to be pulling a funny face whilst pointing at the Colombian. It is as if he is saying 'really, this guy? He's the number one?'

It is however clearly a joke and it is good to see Szczesny back to his normal jovial self on the training ground.

He has been out of selection since a catastrophic performance against Southampton on New Years Day and his alleged post-game antics. Summer signing Ospina has stepped in and put in some excellent performances.

Szczesny will be hoping to prove his worth against Boro this afternoon.
