The Spanish full-back promised to replicate the striker’s trademark celebration if the English star scored at Selhurst Park….

Liverpool progressed through to the last eight of the FA Cup with a hard-fought 2-1 win over Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park yesterday.

After falling a goal behind, the Reds rallied with Daniel Sturridge grabbing the equaliser not long into the second half.

As can be seen above, Alberto Moreno joined the England international in his signature dance celebration in the aftermath of the goal.

The former Sevilla wideman promised at Liverpool training on Friday that he would do the dance if Sturridge scored, with striker ensuring that the Spaniard followed through on his pledge after hitting the back of the net.

Adam Lallana went on to score the winner for Brendan Rodgers’ men, but a lot of the talk in the aftermath of the game was based around Moreno’s cringe-worthy dance moves.

The Northern Irish manager admitted that he was glad to see Sturridge on the scoresheet in the cup tie, but was not impressed by Moreno’s dancing ability.

"After we scored I thought we were very good. We had 15 efforts on goal in the first half but we weren't aggressive enough,” Rodgers is quoted as saying by The Express.

"I wanted us to keep the width on the pitch, we changed it around at half-time and it worked well for us.

"Daniel Sturridge is a natural goalscorer. The worry is that his team-mates are joining in with his dancing!”

Liverpool will have an eye on cup glory this season, especially given that the likes of Manchester City and Chelsea have already been eliminated from the competition.
