Liverpool kept their FA Cup hopes alive as they came from a goal down to defeat Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park on Saturday.
Daniel Sturridge and Adam Lallana scored for the Reds, cancelling out Fraizer Campbell’s 15th-minute opener for the Eagles who are impressing under new manager Alan Pardew.
However, it was Liverpool who came out on top and they will now head into the quarter-finals knowing they are one of the favourites for the trophy.
After the match, a number of Liverpool’s players took to Twitter to express their delight at another job well done; among them goal-scorer Sturridge and summer signing Alberto Moreno, who stole the show by replicating the England international’s famous scoring celebration.
The French centre-back praised Liverpool’s supporters, writing that “it was like being at Anfield tonight".
Liverpool will now turn their attention to the Europa League, where they face Turkish side Besiktas on Thursday, before a tough trip to Southampton in the league next weekend.
