Leeds defeated Millwall 1-0 at Elland Road in a hard fought encounter.
Leeds United continued their excellent run of form yesterday, defeating a Millwall side who not long ago they were looking over their shoulders toward. Nowadays Leeds are climbing up the table under Neil Redfearn and deservedly so after some excellent recent performances.
Much of that has been down to the man-management of Redfearn. He is extracting the best out of Luke Murphy, Scott Wootton and Steve Morison at the club, whilst Alex Mowatt came back strong from his recent dip to score the winning goal in the game.
After the result, plenty of the Leeds players took to Twitter to celebrate victory over the Londoners. The likes of Liam Cooper, Lewis Cook and Charlie Taylor were all ecstatic with getting one over on their London opponents.
Buzzing with another 3 points and a top team performance— Lewis Cook (@lewiscook_) February 14, 2015
Leeds have now won four out of their last five fixtures, which has seen them creep up the table into 12th place and opened up a decent gap between them and the relegation zone with 15 games remaining in the Championship season. Things are finally looking up for Leeds United.
