The Polish midfielder headed home his side’s opener, before being shown a straight red card for a lunging tackle.
With Arsenal’s central midfield options being decimated by injury this term, the North London club have been mentioned as a possible suitor of Sevilla enforcer Grzegorz Krychowiak.
The Polish midfielder continues to play an important role for Champions League chasing Sevilla, and was heavily involved in the side’s 3-0 victory over Cordoba yesterday.
As can be seen below, Krychowiak headed home the side’s opener after 38 minutes, connecting with Jose Antonio Reyes’ corner.
However, the 25-year-old’s day took a turn for the worse after 73 minutes, as he was given his marching orders after connecting with this over-the-top tackle.
Krychowiak will sit out Sevilla’s next couple of games as a result, which will be a blow for the side given that he has started 20 of their 23 games this season.
With Arsenal having something of a Polish connection due to Wojciech Szczesny’s presence in Arsene Wenger’s squad and the recent acquisition of Krystian Bielik, Krychowiak has been regularly linked with a switch to North London.
