Confirmed: St. Johnstone v Celtic line-ups

Here is how St. Johnstone and Celtic will line up for the Scottish Premiership clash at McDiarmid Park this afternoon…

St. Johnstone starting XI: Mannus, Mackay, Scobbie, Anderson, Easton, Lappin, Millar, Davidson, Croft, O'Halloran, MacLean.

St. Johnstone substitutes: Banks, Wright, Graham, Caddis, McFadden, Miller, Kane.

Celtic starting XI: Gordon; Matthews, Denayer, van Dijk, Izaguirre; Brown, Bitton; Mackay-Steven, Johansen, Armstrong; Griffiths.

Celtic substitutes: Zaluska, Ambrose, Henderson, Guidetti, Stokes, Scepovic, McGregor.

Celtic will look to tighten their grip on top spot in the Scottish Premiership as they face St. Johnstone this afternoon.

The Bhoys moved three points clear at the top of the table in midweek, thanks to a 3-0 win over Partick Thistle - with new signings Gary Mackay-Steven and Stuart Armstrong both finding the back of the net.

Ronny Deila's men still have one game in hand on second-placed Aberdeen, who face out of form Hamilton Academical on Sunday afternoon.

Today's line-up again featured Mackay-Steven and Armstrong in the side, with John Guidetti once again on the bench after a poor form of form.

Today's opponents St. Johnstone have won just one of the last six games in the Scottish Premiership, but lie in sixth place, with Dundee chasing them.

Manager Dave Mackay can call upon ex-Scotland international James McFadden if needed, with the former Everton forward on the bench today.
