The teenage striker has been on the club’s books since he was six years old and is now starting to make waves in the first team.
Looking at Arsenal’s current first team, most of the members are players that have been signed by Arsene Wenger to slot straight into the side.
However, a number of youth products have been given their chance this season, with none as impressive as 19-year-old striker Chuba Akpom.
The young striker has featured in three Premier League games from the bench this term and has also been used by Wenger in the cup competitions.
Despite graduating into the first-team, Akpom still remembers the moment when he signed for the North London club as a six-year-old.
“I can remember the day, I was wearing an Arsenal shirt – I still have the picture framed from that day up in my house,” Akpom told the official FA website.
“My whole family are Arsenal fans, so to join them was an amazing feeling.”
Akpom has stated that he is hoping to get a chance to play against Aitor Karanka’s men and appreciates the history behind the FA Cup.
“The season so far has been great and I’m really enjoying it,” he continued.
"It’s the oldest competition in English football, and there’s a lot of history behind it. So to be able to get a few chances to perform in the Cup this season has been really special.
“Now it’s about working hard, training well and just getting more game-time under my belt.”
Akpom played a role in Arsenal’s FA Cup victories over Hull and Brighton in past rounds.
The homegrown hero has the likes of Olivier Giroud and Danny Welbeck for competition in the Arsenal ranks.
