Bradford's recent Premier League scalps. Will Sunderland be next?

Bradford City are on the march again and looking to add to the Premier League scalps they have secured in FA Cup and League Cup competition in recent years.

The FA Cup history books are littered with giant-killing tales, with the fabled ‘magic’ of the competition offering 15 minutes of fame to those unaccustomed to life under the spotlight.

Bradford City, as a club to have graced the Premier League, have tasted the high life, but theirs has been a rollercoaster existence.

Since competing in the top-flight, the Bantams have dropped as far as the fourth tier, before bouncing back up into League One.

While in the basement division, Phil Parkinson masterminded a remarkable run to the 2012/13 League Cup final – an adventure that was eventually ended by Swansea City at Wembley Stadium.

A number of notable scalps were secured along the way, with three Premier League sides sent packing, and the Bantams have been at it again in 2014/15.

Few gave them much of a chance as they prepared for an FA Cup fourth round clash with Chelsea, but the multi-millionaires of west London were humbled in their own backyard and Bradford marched on.

Sunderland are the next Goliaths to their David, and here we take a pictorial look at those games which should act as a warning to Gus Poyet’s Black Cats ahead of Sunday’s trip to Valley Parade.
