West Ham United co-chairman David Gold has confirmed on Twitter that academy stars Reece Burke and Elliot Lee could make the bench for the east London side's FA Cup clash with West Brom tomorrow afternoon.
Burke, 18, and Lee, 20, could be in line for a place in West Ham's matchday squad due to a string of first-team injury problems for Sam Allardyce's side.
Gold was asked on social media by a West Ham supporter whether Burke or Lee specifically could play a part against West Brom but the principle could extend to other academy talents considering the Hammers' shortage of available options.

Allardyce and co will no doubt assess their squad closely ahead of the West Brom clash and call upon all those who can feature, with the FA Cup holding particular importance to West Ham this season.
Their manager has previously stated his desire to prioritise the world's oldest knockout competition this term and their trip to the Baggies provides the perfect opportunity to take a step closer to success.
At the same time, however, this could be the perfect opportunity for a West Ham youngster to make a real name for themselves...
