The Chelsea squad were understandably active on Twitter on Wednesday night after a dramatic late William goal saw them seal a hard-fought 1-0 win over Everton.
Everton goalkeeper Tim Howard had earlier denied Chelsea trio Loic Remy, Nemanja Matic and Willian himself with fine saves, with Petr Cech, who was deputising for the rested Thibaut Courtois, forced to make a fine stop at the other end to keep out former Blues striker Romelu Lukaku.
The visitors were reduced to 10 men in the closing stages after Gareth Barry picked up his second booking, before the Brazilian midfielder’s 89th-minute deflected shot glanced past Howard into the corner of the net to give Jose Mourinho’s side all three points.
It was far from Chelsea’s best showing of the season but, after being moments away from seeing their lead at the top of the Premier League table cut to five points following Manchester City’s 4-1 win at Stoke, there was every reason for the squad to be delighted.
Among those taking to social media after the match to celebrate were goalscorer Willian, Cesar Azpilicueta, Ramires and substitute Cesc Fabregas, who all now turn attention to next week’s Champions League round of 16 trip to Paris Saint-Germain.
