Saido Berahino scored his first goal since January 10 to help West Brom to a 2-0 home victory over Swansea.
He struck along with summer signing Brown Ideye to help the Baggies climb to 14th place in the Premier League table.
It was his 10th Premier League goals of the season, and 15 in all competitions, with the striker netting four in an FA Cup game against Gateshead last month.
The England under-21 international has found his future the subject of intense speculation this campaign, with The Independent reporting manager Tony Pulis' disappointment last week at Berahino's comments suggesting he saw his long-term future away from the club.
The striker's goal could not have been better timed in terms of relieving the pressure on himself, for as a young striker who aspires to higher accomplishments, backing it up first on the pitch is essential.
Most intriguing last night was his link-up with Ideye, who has himself found form after a difficult early spell at the club since his summer switch.
With the club rising up the table, there is reason for optimism at the club, and a focused Berahino can be a big part of it. He needs to forget the debate over his future for now, and exert his concentration on doing the best he can in the here and now.
Here is a look at how fans reacted to his display on Twitter...
Ideye and Berahino linked up so well tonight, great connection between them. West Brom will need that for the rest of the season. #WBAFC— Connor (@Connor___Cox) February 12, 2015

The Ideye-Berahino striking partnership looks very, very promising indeed. Totally in sync last night judging on highlights. #wba— Baggies Galore (@BaggiesGalore) February 12, 2015
Who was it that said Ideye and Berahino can't play in the same team together... #wba— Iain Bate (@iainbate) February 12, 2015
Berahino pointing at the badge was great. The kid wants to be here and prove a point, passion from him and the lads was evident— Pricey (@AlfiePrice_) February 12, 2015
