Tottenham Hotspur have a week without a competitive match after being knocked out of the FA Cup.

Tottenham Hotspur's Eric Dier has told the club's official site that the hard work will not stop, despite the side having no match scheduled this weekend.

Spurs' next game comes in the Europa League against Fiorentina in seven days' time, but Dier isn't expecting time to relax.

Instead, he is predicting that the squad will be worked even harder on the training ground to correct any faults which were evident in their 3-2 defeat to Liverpool during midweek.

"We’ve a nice break now before we play Fiorentina so we can put a lot of work in and look to bounce back straight away," he said. “I don’t think we should let this game knock us down."

Tottenham's defeat to Liverpool was a blow for the Lilywhites, as they had built so much momentum going into the contest.

A win over Arsenal at the weekend had firmly established their credentials to challenge for the Champions League spots this season and it was a great disappointment to not to have held on to claim a point at Anfield.

Liverpool's win should not throw Spurs off course though. The North London outfit have improved considerably in recent times and having a week off from what has been a relentless schedule will serve them well.

Mauricio Pochettino has transformed the side in rapid time and having seven days to correct any faults still existing in their game should be a huge boost.
