Tottenham Hotspur morning round-up: South American expert suggests Jackson Martinez isn't right for Spurs

A round up of news stories this morning related to Tottenham Hotspur.

TalkSPORT’s South American expert Tim Vickery had suggested that reported Tottenham transfer target Jackson Martinez isn’t right for the club.

Tottenham have been consistently linked with a move, valued in the region of £26 million by the radio show’s report.

Vickery has suggested that Martinez’s style doesn’t suit the way Tottenham want to play.

Darren Anderton has been quoted by the Daily Express suggesting that England have to drop Daniel Sturridge to accommodate Harry Kane.

The former Spurs star has suggested Roy Hodgson needs to find a way of getting Kane into the team, even if that means making a big call over the Liverpool forward.

David Beckham told the FA website that it doesn’t matter how old a player is, if he’s good enough to play for England.

Beckham was talking in relation to Harry Kane and suggested that the 21-year-old should be leading the England front line.

Kane’s goal against Liverpool earlier this week took his tally for the season up to 23 goals across all competitions.
