The Spanish forward underwent surgery in Barcelona yesterday.
Stoke City forward Bojan Krkic has shared a picture on Twitter after undergoing surgery on his injured left knee. The Spaniard suffered serious knee ligament damage during an FA Cup clash with Rochdale United.
He posted this image and message on his official Twitter account yesterday.
Thanks to God it went all well. Today starts a new journey, I'll face it giving my best every day. pic.twitter.com/wV9G9ZtRXf— Bojan Krkic (@BoKrkic) February 11, 2015
The Daily Mail had reported yesterday that Bojan was returning to Barcelona for the surgery at the Deixus hospital and this image appears to confirm that the operation on his cruciate knee ligament injury went off without a hitch.
The same report also claimed that he could potentially spend his early recovery in his hometown and recover at FC Barcelona, where his father remains employed, for the immediate future.
Bojan joined the club in the summer from Barcelona and had been in great form in the weeks leading up to his injury blow. After a tough period since breaking onto the scene with Barca in 2007 it finally looked like he was on his way back to his best form.
Stoke missed his guile and technical prowess in last night's 4-1 defeat at the hands of Premier League champions Manchester City at The Britannia Stadium.
Stoke will be hopeful that he is back fighting fit for the start of the season.
