Bayern Munich have plenty of star players among their current team, including Austrian David Alaba. The versatile star can play at left-back, left-wing, central midfield and this season has often been used as one of a three man defence by Pep Guardiola.
But it seems central midfield is his ideal position, as his idol is Manchester City development boss Patrick Vieira. Bayern Munich's star man bumped into the Arsenal legend at the Bayern training ground yesterday.
Alaba posted this message on Twitter, with photo attached of the Manchester City man, yesterday afternoon.
It is reported by Munich Abendzeitung that Vieira was in Munich to get some training tips from Pep Guardiola and to watch the Bayern first team in training. Considering Vieira coaches the Manchester City development team that defeated their Bayern contemporaries 6-0 back in November.
However despite this seemingly innocuous reasoning behind his visit there is surely no doubt that City fans will be hoping that Vieira might have had a word in the ear of the Bayern Munich talent about one day joining the Etihad club.
Here's hoping for Manchester City fans.
