Sergio Aguero has confirmed that he’s not suffered a fresh injury setback, as reported by the Daily Mail.

The Argentine was taken off as a precaution during the win against Stoke City last night.

He was quick to tell fans after the game that he wasn’t suffering from a serious problem.

Manchester City boss Manuel Pellegrini has been quoted by ESPN suggesting his team are not thinking about the Premier League title fight against Chelsea.

City secured an impressive 4-1 win against Stoke City last night to prevent the gap between them and the Blues from growing.

Pellegrini says it’s more important for his team to focus on finding their best form.

Pellegrini also gave his thoughts to ESPN on the slight knock suffered by Aguero during the game.

The manager has confirmed that the issue is with the player’s back, with the forward withdrawn when he notified the bench that he felt a problem.

The injury will be assessed today according to the boss, to check it won’t develop.
