Everton fans react on Twitter to Lennon's performance against Chelsea

Tottenham Hotspur loanee Aaron Lennon played 76 minutes of Everton's match against Chelsea last night.

Everton supporters were largely impressed by Aaron Lennon's showing against Chelsea last night.

The Toffees slipped to a 1-0 defeat at Stamford Bridge, with Willian scoring a late winner, but Lennon was amongst their better performers on the night.

The winger, who signed on loan from Tottenham Hotspur on deadline day, is still trying to become sharper after receiving limited amounts of first-team football in recent seasons, but he is showing signs of promise.

Pacy and direct, Lennon was Everton's most dangerous attacking threat and most supporters of the club were pleased with the role he played.

Lennon made one dribble and also put in four crosses during the match, providing some decent service to Romelu Lukaku.

It was a sign that he could make a very good addition at Everton, especially as he becomes more used to regular first-team action.
