Deila update on Lustig
Celtic manager Ronny Deila says that Mikael Lustig will be out for up to three weeks after picking up an ankle injury against Dundee this weekend.
Lustig's career has been blighted with fitness problems and the severity of this latest set-back will see him miss both legs of the Bhoys' Europa League tie against Inter Milan.
"It will be some time with Lustig, I hope just two or three weeks," Deila said to the Glasgow Evening Times.
Deila on improvements
Celtic manager Ronny Deila says that it is hard for opposition sides to create anything against his team now.
The Bhoys struggled over the initial period of Deila's time in charge, but they have made vast improvements recently and the Norwegian is certainly pleased with the defensive side of their game.
“Nir Bitton and Brown are in good form and, with Virgil at the back, it’s hard to create anything against us now," he said to the Daily Record.
“He is more of a leader now pushing from behind. He’s very fit now.”
Mackay-Steven on debut goal
Gary Mackay-Steven says that he was delighted to have bagged a debut goal against Partick Thistle last night.
Mackay-Steven scored just 36 seconds into his maiden game for the Bhoys and he was naturally delighted to have hit the back of the net in such rapid time.
“I’m obviously delighted to have made my debut, first and foremost, and to score straight away settled some nerves,” he said to Celtic's official site. “It was a great day all round for me.
“I have been here just over a week and I was itching to just play my first game."
