Rating and Reviewing the matches and segments from this week’s Raw. CONTAINS SPOILERS!
After last week’s results leading to a match between Daniel Bryan and Roman Reigns at Fastlane we expected this week’s episode to include a lot of focus on the two title contenders; we weren’t disappointed.
In the first part we saw Daniel Bryan & Roman Reigns face Kane & Big Show, Seth Rollins battle Ryback, Paige get revenge on Brie Bella, Rusev & Lana "honoured" John Cena, Dolph Ziggler came head to head with Bray Wyatt and Paul Heyman spoke about Wrestlemania.

Gold & Stardust Vs. New Day
Gold & Stardust are in meltdown at the moment, as Stardust become ever more erratic his brother becomes more concerned. New Day are still making their way and don’t seem to be getting as much of a push as was expected when they arrived. Kofi Kingston and Big E would represent New Day this week and the match was essentially a non-starter. Stardust dominates to begin with but as soon as Goldust tags in he walks off. Goldust called after him but he just stood at the top of the entrance ramp being odd. Kofi took advantage of the distraction and rolled Goldust up for the win.
We then saw Gold & Stardust backstage. Goldust was telling his brother that he’s getting out of control and calls him Cody as he gets concerned for him. Stardust loses it and pushes Stardust into some railings, leaving him on the ground looking lost.
Match & Segment Rating 7/10
We then headed back to the ring to hear Triple H call out Sting, demanding an answer to his challenge for Fastlane. The lights go out and the screen shows a video of Triple H with Sting makeup and images of scorpions. A spotlight hits an exit door with a Sting like figure stood in the doorway before going out. Seconds later it happens again on a different exit, this continued until the spotlight was in the ring. Triple H fell over at seeing someone dressed as Sting stood in front of him and then disappearing. Finally the video showed the message ‘I Accept’. So we now know that Sting will confront Triple H at Fastlane, no doubt leading to a match at Wrestlemania.
Segment Rating 8/10
The Usos Vs. Cesaro & Tyson Kidd
Another good match between Cesaro, Tyson Kidd and The Usos, who have a decent feud brewing now. Cesaro & Kidd have become a powerful tag team and it would be no surprise to see them take the titles soon. The Usos never really had a chance in this match as Kidd was able to counter most of their moves, including the Flying Uso that was countered with an awesome uppercut. The match ended with a series of counters. Jimmy attacked Cesaro outside the ring but Cesaro takes him out and rolls him into the ring. With the ref distracted he then pushes Jey off the top turnbuckle, allowing Kidd to pin him.
Match Rating 7/10
Sin Cara Vs. Damien Mizdow
Miz and Mizdow are another tag team in meltdown, with Mizdow becoming closer and closer to taking out his “boss”. Mizdow was largely in control at the start of the match but was interrupted by Miz who ordered him to get him a bottle of water mid match. He got Miz his water and then continued his match. Sin Cara built momentum but Mizdow managed to get him down and in position for a Figure Four Leg Lock. Miz was insulted by this and he got out of his chair and onto the ring apron to stop Mizdow. Mizdow argued back and Sin Cara rolled him up to win. Mizdow looked at The Miz in disgust, the anger clear in his face. The feud between the two has been built up for long enough now, they just need to hurry up and fight before the crowd lose interest.
Match Rating 7/10
Next was another Bray Wyatt promo, he addressed his unknown enemy and once again talked about careers ending and what happens when you die. It seems more and more apparent that he will be facing Undertaker at Wrestlemania. The question is when will The Undertaker respond?
Segment Rating 7/10
Curtis Axel Vs. Dean Ambrose
Axel came to the ring and once again moaned about his involvement in the Royal Rumble match, claiming that he won. Ambrose then came to the ring and absolutely took Axel apart. Axel manages to regain the upper hand but he gloats to the audience and allows Ambrose to hit Dirty Deeds and pin him. Ambrose then called out Bad News Barrett, demanding a title match. Barrett then appeared on the Titantron to tell Ambrose that he won’t be obliging him.
Match/Segment Rating 7/10
Daniel Bryan & Roman Reigns Vs. Seth Rollins, Kane, Big Show, Jamie Noble & Joey Mercury
As expected this was all out domination from The Authorities henchmen, with Kane & Big Show taking out Reigns while the others beat Bryan. The match officially began with Reigns out cold on the arena floor and Bryan facing Rollins. Reigns was eventually able to take part but was hit quickly with a KO Punch from Big Show. With Bryan about to be put through the announce table Ryback, Ziggler and Erick Rowan appeared at the top of the entrance ramp and made their way to the ring. Kane, Rollins and Big Show went to fight them, leaving J&J Security in the ring with Bryan. He seized his chance and took them apart with ease. He was about to finish the job when Reigns tagged himself in, having woken up, and hit Mercury with a spear, pinning him straight after. Bryan was annoyed and the two argued. Reigns turned his back on Bryan and that annoyed him more. Bryan lost his cool and pushed Reigns against the ropes. Reigns bounced off the ropes and hit Bryan with a Spear.
The stage is almost set for WWE Fastlane with two more episodes of Raw to go before the Pay-Per-View. What will happen between then and now? Only time, and WWE Creative, will tell.
