20 Premier League games have brought just one goal for the Frenchman, and the Welsh club’s attacking ranks look increasingly weak without the consistent goalscoring threat of Ivorian international Bony.
They have been linked with a host of players as a replacement for Bony in recent weeks, with Watford’s Matej Vydra and Dame N’Doye - now of Hull City - reportedly targets of the Swans, as per Sky Sports and A Bola respectively. However neither transfer came off during the transfer window, and it now appears as if they will be looking to strengthen in the summer ahead of next season.
Any player attempting to fill the boots of Bony will be faced with an enormous task, but Swansea have reportedly shown an interest in one man who could do it.
As reported by the Mirror, 27-year-old Danish international Lasse Vibe has been linked with a move to the Liberty Stadium, and his goalscoring record suggests he would be well suited to the Premier League. Although playing in the Danish and Swedish leagues - he currently turns out with IFK Goteborg - Vibe has 68 goals in 87 games, including an impressive 23 in 26 games this term.
Despite bursting onto the scene late, already being 27, Vibe has an impressive goals to game ratio during his career, and he could prove to be a budget fix for the now departed Bony.
