Having waited 770 minutes for his first Premier League goal in Liverpool colours, you would have expected an outpouring of emotion from Mario Balotelli against Tottenham Hotspur on Tuesday night.
After all that he has been through and the many questions he has faced regarding his value to the cause, the fiery Italian could have been forgiven for letting off a bit of steam when he finally came to the boil.
Given that the effort which broke his duck also happened to be an all-important match-winner in a potentially pivotal clash with fellow top-four hopefuls, you start to wonder why he did not blow his top.
Maybe the sense of relief was greater than that of euphoria, with Balotelli having been looking to shake that monkey from his back for six months.
It is, however, dangerous to second guess the enigmatic 24-year-old, with it virtually impossible to categorise his emotions on any given day.
He has does have history, though, when it comes to elaborate celebrations, as the images below help to illustrate and colleagues at Inter Milan, Manchester City, AC Milan and Italy will testify.
Maybe Liverpool supporters will be treated to a similar show the next time he hits the back of the net...if there is a next time.
