Lord Sugar slams 'liability' Tottenham Hotspur star Danny Rose via Twitter

Ex-Spurs chairman unimpressed with defending of Danny Rose.

Tottenham suffered their fourth successive defeat to Liverpool, losing 3-2 narrowly at Anfield.

Mauricio Pochettino's side bounced back from being two goals down twice, before Mario Balotelli surprised everybody by netting his first Premier League goal.

Spurs had conceded earlier in the game through a soft Lazar Markovic opener which Hugo Lloris should have saved, and a Steven Gerrard penalty.

The spot-kick was awarded when Danny Rose brought down Daniel Sturridge inside the penalty area. His clumsy challenge was slated by former Spurs chairman Lord Sugar via Twitter, who described the left-back as a liability.

Rose has been an improved player this season in comparison to last year, recently reclaiming his place from summer signing Ben Davies.

Against Liverpool he gave away three fouls, more than the rest of the Tottenham defence combined, but did make four tackles, the joint highest along with Jan Vertonghen.

Sugar went onto add that he felt Tottenham deserved a draw from the game, which has caused Spurs to slip back two points behind rivals Arsenal in the Premier League table, who won over bottom side Leicester City.
