Confirmed Leeds United under-21 line-up: Adryan gets a game

Elland Road pitchside

Here is how Leeds United's development squad will line up for their latest match:

Leeds United’s under-21’s take on their Sheffield United counterparts this afternoon and they will be hoping to put recent defeats to Watford and Birmingham City behind them.

Leeds’ youngsters lost 6-1 to Watford at the start of January before slipping to a 3-0 defeat to Birmingham just a week later.

They now return to Under-21 Professional Development League action with plenty to prove, and one player could have more to prove than most.

Adryan has been included in today’s match-day squad having recently been omitted from Leeds’ first-team.

The Brazilian has made 12 appearances for Leeds this season, but he has not been in any of the last six match-day squads and he has appeared for only 10 minutes in the last eight Championship matches.

He has talent in abundance and manager Neil Redfearn will surely be planning on using him again this season, but it is up to Adryan to make that decision a lot easier for his manager…starting this afternoon.
